Abstract:

An eyewear frame assembly comprises at least one lens that is substantially encircled by a flexible wire or cable. The wire can be constructed as a monofilament wire or a multi-filament wire. Various closing members are shown, some of which feature magnetic members.

	First Claim: Show all 26 claims			1. A method of forming a rimless eyewear system, the method comprising: preparing a lens and forming a lens circumferential channel in a peripheral surface of the lens; opening an adjustable flexible wire loop formed substantially of a flexible wire; inserting the prepared lens into the flexible wire loop; positioning the flexible wire loop in the lens circumferential channel formed in the peripheral surface of the lens; and tightening the flexible wire loop around the lens.
