There is disclosed herein a limb-mounted device that is controlled by one or more inputs disposed within reach of the fingers of a user on the same hand that is associated with the limb. The inputs may be disposed upon a retractable or removable surface so that they have an operative position, in which they are within reach of the fingers, and an inoperative position, in which they are stowed outside reach of the fingers, but in a manner otherwise convenient to the user.

What is claimed is:
1. An apparatus comprising: a device adapted to be secured to a limb of a user, the device having a plurality of functions; and one or more inputs disposed upon a substrate and connected with the device to control the plurality of functions, the one or more inputs positioned so as to be operable by one or more digits of a hand of the user associated with the limb of the user when the substrate is in a first position, and positioned so as to be inoperable by the digits of the hand of the user associated with the limb of the user when the substrate is in a second position.
