| Abstract: |
The invention relates to a method for transmitting digitally encoded traffic messages that is characterized in that the traffic messages are transmitted according to a standardized pattern, especially according to the TMC method. A header is prefixed to the digitally encoded traffic messages, at least one further information following said digitally encoded traffic message and one of these pieces of information containing a location description. The further pieces of information are subdivided into classes, every class containing a class name and at least one packet. One of these classes contains data of presentation.
