| Abstract: |
In order to provide the patient with an easily transported product which shows no unwanted physiological side effects, which dissolves rapidly and completely in water without aids, which precludes mixing errors by the patient and which can be stored over a prolonged period, it is proposed that the product be in the form of granules with a particle size up to about 3 mm average diameter and contain electrolytes appropriate for the balance in the body, as well as polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of at least 4000, an alkali metal carbonate as well as citric acid.
