Instrument for removing tick=insect from skin The two grip arms (2), each with a jaw (1), are at least partly elastic, so that the jaws are movable together and apart. Between the jaws and their rear ends (3) where they are joined together the arms cross over each other. The working faces (4) of the jaws are pre-loaded against each other, the mouth (5) formed between them being opened in opposition to the pre-loading force. Between the rear ends and the crossover point (6) there can be an actuating portion (7) with a protrusion (8), preferably semicircular, from each arm. The protrusions can extend in opposite directions as in the plane in which the jaws work, being integral with the arms.

1. Vorrichtung zum Entfernen von Zecken mit zwei jeweils eine Greifbacke (1) aufweisenden, zumindest teilweise elastischen Greifarmen (2), wobei die Greifarme (2) einander zugeordnet und die Greifbacken (1) aufgrund der Elastizität der Greifarme (2) aufeinander zu und voneinander weg bewegbar sind,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich die Greifarme (2) zwischen einem den Greifbacken (1) abgewandten Verbindungsbereich (3) und den Greifbacken (1) derart kreuzen, daß die Greifbacken (1) mit ihren Eingriffsflächen (4) unter Vorspannung aneinanderliegen und das so gebildete Maul (5) durch Überwindung der Vorspannung öffenbar ist.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Entfernen von Zecken mit zwei jeweils eine Greifbacke aufweisenden, zumindest teilweise elastischen Greifarmen, wobei die Greifarme einander zugeordnet und die Greifbacken aufgrund der Elastizität der Greifarme aufeinander zu und voneinander weg bewegbar sind.
