PURPOSE: To improve the running stability of an automobile at the time of cross wind by providing air spoilers extending obliquely on the outside of a vehicle on both right and left sides of the rear of the vehicle in such a manner as to intercept an air flow circulating from the side of the rear of the vehicle into the top of the rear, the rear surface or the lower surface.
CONSTITUTION: A rear spoiler 3 is fixed to the top of the trailing end of a trunk 2 in the rear of an automobile, and a pair of wing-like air spoilers 4(4a, 4b) are disposed on the fronts of both sides of the rear spoilers 3. These wing spoilers 4 are formed substantially long plate-like, and respectively mounted separately right and left in such a manner as to extend along the sides of the automobile. The respective wing spoilers 4 are pivotally mounted, so that at the time of expanding, they are projected from the car body obliquely outwards (from 40°W70° with respective to the horizontal plane), and at the time of storing, they are laid along the contour of the car body. Thus, the rectilinear moving stability of the automobile at the time of cross wind can be improved in a simple and small-sized structure.
