Abstract:     Eyeglasses which are light in weight and small in size, can be fitted easily to the face, held firmly, and put off easily. The eyeglasses include two nose pads (18, 18') and two temple pads (24, 24'). The nose pads (18, 18') extend from a flexible bridge (14) connecting two lenses (12, 12'). The temple pad (24, 24') are attached to flexible temple arms (18, 18') extending from the two lenses (12, 12') to recessed areas of both temples of the head. When the eyeglasses are worn, the nose pads (18, 18') press both side surfaces of the nose, and the temples on both sides by the stress of the respective temple arms (20, 20') and are fixed there. Further, the eyeglasses have grips (16, 16') protruding from the bridge (14). The grips (16, 16') can be gripped by fingers and are associated with the bridge so that when they are strongly nipped, the bridge (14) is bent and the two temple arms and the two temple pads separate from one another, respectively, with the bridge (14) being the support point.
