Time Tracking
Updated: Jul 20, 2004

What does Time Tracking do?
Time Tracking allows you to track the amount of time you spend on the Delphion website against a specific client reference.

You can track against one client reference, stop, and then track against another client reference. Easy-to-use summary reports let you see how much time was tracked against each client reference.

Note: See Using Client References for details on assignment and use of client references.

Who can use Time Tracking?
Time Tracking is available to corporate/group accounts only (both Unlimited and Premier).

Time Tracking must be enabled for the entire account before the individuals within the account can use it.

Time Tracking Toolbar overview:
Once Time Tracking is enabled for an account, the Time Tracking toolbar appears on all pages of the Delphion website for all users who have logged in.

When you log in, the Time Tracking toolbar shows your default client reference number and Time Tracking starts immediately.

You can then:
  1. Change the client reference, which stops the current tracking session, and then turn Time Tracking on again for the new client reference.
  2. Turn Time Tracking off. The Time Tracking toolbar will continue to display, but the timer will not run.

There are three ways to stop your Time Tracking session:
  1. Click the Stop button on the Time Tracking toolbar.
  2. Click the Change link on the Time Tracking toolbar. The Time Tracking page displays where you can update the client reference and then click the Start Tracking Now button. Beginning a new session in this manner stops the previous session.
  3. Log out of your Delphion session by clicking the Log Out button in the top navigation. The Log Out page displays showing the summary report for your most recent Time Tracking session.
Note: If you abandon your browser session (without stopping or logging out) while a Time Tracking session is in progress, that Time Tracking session will be recorded as a 30-minute session (no matter how long or short the session was before you abandoned the browser session).
