In this newsletter, we present an overview of our new website, including the new features
we’ve added to Delphion Research.
Starting today, it’s a new Delphion with an expanded set of solutions. What remains
unchanged, however, is our total commitment to your success.

New Research Features
Today, you’ll see a host of new features on Delphion Research. Based on
your feedback, we’ve enhanced our exclusive interface, the Delphion Integrated View, and
added new features to our search forms. It’s all to make your searches even faster and
easier -- and to provide you with more immediate and comprehensive help when you need it.
The Integrated View now enables you to use pull-down navigation to instantly jump to and
expand a specific section, such as Claims, U.S. References, and Family. You can now also
email to a colleague a message and a link to the Integrated View, making it easier to share
the information you find. In addition, you can now immediately add a selected patent or
patent application to a Work File, making it easier to manage your personal lists of patents.
To help you better understand and use the fields of the Integrated View, we’ve added field
definitions. By clicking the question mark next to any field, you’ll activate a pop-up
window that describes the contents of the field, identifies any collection restrictions,
recommends the best way to search the field, and even provides sample data.
We’ve enhanced Delphion’s search forms by giving you the option to see your search results
with 500 matches per page. (And, by the way, you now have the same option with your Work Files
and Saved Searches.) The search forms also have these new features:
...On the Quick/Number and Advanced forms, you can link directly to new Delphion Help Center
information with tips on how to search by patent number.
...On the Advanced and Boolean forms, you can now set date perimeters for your search by
day, month and year. When searching by class, you now have the ability to specify either
Original or Current U.S. Class. In addition, you’ll now see more examples of search terms
directly below the search fields.
...On the Boolean form, you can now speed your research by selecting to search for a word
in the Abstract, Title and Claims fields all at once.
And that’s not all. As you explore Delphion Research now, you’re sure to discover lots of
other enhancements we’ve made to make it better than ever.
