CHICAGO — July 30, 2002 — Delphion Inc., a leading provider of software
and services that enable companies to fully exploit intellectual assets, today announced the addition
of Matt Wise in the new position of general manager of Delphion Research, the company's Internet-based
service for researching intellectual property on a worldwide basis. Wise will oversee all aspects of
Delphion Research, including development, sales, marketing and customer service.

Wise has served as a member of the senior management team of three successful Internet companies.
Prior to joining Delphion, he served as the vice president of marketing at San Francisco-based
Luckysurf.com, a top website focused on data acquisition, data intelligence and member-retention
tools. Earlier, Wise was the vice president and general manager of the real estate division at
Classified Ventures, a Chicago-based company that manages the Internet's leading destinations
in three classified advertising categories: automotive, homes for sale and apartment rentals.
In this position, Wise led a team of 80 professionals and oversaw the operation of six websites,
including Apartments.com, which was the top apartment-rental site on the Web as measured by
Media Metrix; and NewHomeNetwork.com, named by Forbes magazine as the "Best of the Web" in new
home construction. Wise was also a founding member of ApartmentsPlus.com, an early innovator in
the online real estate industry, and has worked for the American Bar Association in Chicago.
Wise earned a master's degree in business administration from DePaul University, and a bachelor's
degree in political science from the University of Iowa.
