CHICAGO — May 20, 2002 — Delphion Inc., a leading provider of software and services that enable companies to fully exploit intellectual property, today announced that it has launched for Japan's PATOLIS Corp. a software application that provides transparent communication between PATOLIS's patent-research website and the worldwide patent databases maintained by Delphion. The solution enables PATOLIS to significantly expand the patent collections it offers its customers, while saving more than $2 million and 12 months of work that would have been required to implement and support the nearly 9 terabytes of patent data themselves.
The implementation of this solution marks the latest collaboration between Delphion and PATOLIS, the leading commercial patent-research services of the U.S. and Japan. In 2000, Delphion provided PATOLIS with software and services to enhance its e-commerce and patent-search technologies.
