INPADOC gives you a more comprehensive view of a patent by identifying all worldwide filings with global family information.
The INPADOC collection available here at Delphion provides over 30 million patent family documents from 71 patent offices worldwide, and 45 million legal status actions from 42 worldwide patent offices. INPADOC is the most comprehensive database in which to perform patent family searches on a worldwide basis, and is estimated to cover 95% of all patents published since 1973. Convenient links to this information are integrated directly into the Delphion Integrated View. This allows you to quickly identify all the countries in which a particular patent has been granted (or applied for), and review that patent's legal status activity. This helps you discover, by country, where your competitor is filing, and determine if a patent is active or has lapsed. The INPADOC "Family Table" provides a complete list of all patents claiming the same priority number, commonly known as conventional equivalents. These are linked to the bibliographic record of each patent a Delphion exclusive. The EPO adds chemical registry numbers to many INPADOC records which are important to the pharmaceutical, biotech, and chemical industries these are included also. The Family Legal Status, also available from the Integrated View, is an easy to access report that lets you view the legal status for all members of a patent family in a single view. More information on the Family Legal Status report is available in our Help Center. While only the bibliographic data is searchable in the INPADOC collection, full-text images are available for download for the majority of patents in the collection.
