Data Extract exports patent office data from your Work Files or Result Sets for use in other applications. This lets you leverage your patent research in entirely new ways — you can share a summary of your findings with colleagues, slice and dice the data in a spreadsheet program or incorporate research results into a report or presentation. With Data Extract, you can export data from up to 20,000 patent records.
Data Extract exports more than 50 bibliographic fields including abstracts, first claims, independent claims and the number of forward references. You can export data in formats designed for popular applications like Thomson Data Analyzer and ISI ReasearchSoft's EndNote®, Reference Manager®, and ProCite®, in addition to exporting for Microsoft's Excel® and regular text editors. Data Extract is also available in XML format for use in custom applications.
For use in Microsoft's Excel, text editors, and other similar programs, you have complete control of the data you want to export. You can select:
- Any combination of over 50 bibliographic, full-text patent data fields to be exported — including both abstract and claims
- The order in which the fields should be exported
- Whether you want to export one data item per field or all data items together in a single field
For use in Thomson Data Analyzer, you can choose from over 40 optional fields to be extracted in addition to the default set included for every Thomson Data Analyzer download.
For XML, you can choose to download the full text (including bibliographic fields) of patents or just the bibliographic fields — and you can choose to download all the data in one file or download one file per patent.
These prices apply to Data Extracts that contain only patent office fields.
For Delphion Unlimited subscribers, Data Extract is free for extracts that do not exceed 500 records. For extracts exceeding 500 records, the following charges apply:
- $10 per additional set of 500 non-XML records that includes abstract, claims or both in the extract (NOTE: abstract and claims are automatically included when extracting for Thomson Data Analyzer; abstract is automatically included in extracts for ISI ReasearchSoft's EndNote®, Reference Manager®, and ProCite®).
- $15 per additional set of 500 records if XML is the download format (either bibliographic fields or full text).
- $5 per additional set of 500 records for all other fields in standard (non-XML) formats.
For Delphion Premier subscribers, each set of 500 records is charged as follows:
- $10 per set of 500 non-XML records that includes abstract, claims or both in the extract (NOTE: abstract and claims are automatically included when extracting for Thomson Data Analyzer; abstract is automatically included in extracts for ISI ReasearchSoft's EndNote®, Reference Manager®, and ProCite®).
- $15 per set of 500 records if XML is the download format (either bibliographic fields or full text).
